STAR Transportations helps mature adults remain on the go

We feel vulnerable when we’re alone, and we can feel the most alone when we’re at home. STAR Transportations exists to help our riders remain active while empowering mature adults to live independent lives. We can transport you to where you need to be. We want you to remain active and engaged with your neighborhood and the Orlando community. In fact, 10% of our profits go to charitable causes for mature adults and the disabled in metro Orlando.

Our private ride service can transport you curbside to your favorite restaurant for breakfast or dinner, to the grocery store for food or other necessities, and to the pharmacy for prescription refills and medical visits.

Our on-demand transportation service is for mobile adults age 50 and older. STAR transports mature adults to help them meet their daily needs. We are community-based and relationship-driven. Mature adults are the customers who drive this business. The acronym for STAR is Safe Transportation that is Affordable and Reliable. We provide excellent service, filling the gap between what is currently offered and what needs to be added to help you live independently.

We recognize that isolating at home can contribute to sadness and depression. STAR Transportations can help you leave isolation behind by allowing you to plan routine medical appointments and other activities that take place outside your home. And our highly vetted and trained drivers will make sure that you arrive at your destination safely.

Let us help you make small changes step by step so that you can remain active and engaged. Life shouldn’t stop just because you’re getting older. The STAR network provides an excellent private ride service specifically for mature adults.

Because we drive excellence.

Keeping customers and drivers safe during the coronavirus pandemic

Some mature adults may be concerned about their safety when it comes to choosing a private ride service. It’s easy to see why, especially during the COVID-19 outbreak. As a person’s age increases, so does his or her risk of developing severe complications from the novel coronavirus, especially if underlying medical conditions are present. STAR Transportations is committed to promoting the mobility, safety, and health of our customers and drivers during the pandemic and beyond. Below are the customer safety and hygiene rules we follow in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control:

• Drivers and riders must be masked at all times (a driver cannot accept a customer who isn’t wearing a mask)

• Hand sanitizer is available in each vehicle for riders’ use

• Riders are not allowed to sit in the front seat of the vehicle

• To comply with shelter-in-place rules, customers should travel alone where practicable (although exceptions will be made for riders who need personal assistance)

• When possible, avoid touching

• If you are experiencing COVID-like symptoms, we ask that you stay home and reschedule your trip

We’re practicing safe ways to protect older adults from COVID-19. Following precautions is best, even if you feel skeptical about them. Not adhering to these requirements could mean an increased risk of exposure, so we feel it is important to promote proper hygiene as we transport you to your doctor’s office, the grocery store, or anywhere else you need to go.
